Description: The Suffolk Health and Human Services Building jointly houses the Health Department and Social Services for the city of Suffolk, Virginia. Vertegy helped the team achieve LEED Silver for the three-story office building, which features administrative office space, examination rooms, group space and medical storage. The project is designed to be 20% more efficient than a building designed to ASHRAE standards and incorporated a low-emitting strategy to enhance indoor air quality for the building's occupants and visitors. Low-flow plumbing fixtures allow for a savings of more than 41% of potable water usage over a baseline building.
